Renovation

James Dodds was selected as the historic preservation consultant architect for the a restoration project at the National Archives. The existing plaster and brick masonry substrate which supports the canvas murals entitled “Declaration of Independence” and “Constitution” located within the main rotunda required restoration.  This work is being performed through The Atlantic Company of North America. The contractor was selected through a national competition. The National Archives building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Work completed in 2001.
