Project Description:

Audubon Hall is a part of the original LSU Quadrangle. This structure was renovated to house the Psychology Department in 1981.  The renovation left the main hall on the first floor as originally designed with high hallway ceilings and original wood transom windows for cross ventilation.  The building was not originally air conditioned, so cross ventilation was a key design element.  The cross over area at the center of the building has the original doorway, maintaining the tall arched fan transom window.  This is the only building in the LSU quadrangle that has been renovated to remain historically correct to the original intended design concept.
